The Killing of a Sacred Deer - Suspense/Horror, 2017
Found some comment recommending this under a thread about "movies that feel inherently evil" or some shit. Was there with Lost Highway and a couple others. Anyway, someone was like "I WISH I PREPARED FOR THIS MOVIE BEFORE I WATCHED IT" so I took the opportunity to do one of my favorite things: going in as completely blind as possible.
Hyperbole.
It's a 7/10 for me, I imagine a solid 8/10 for others. Great, well crafted movie. But for my tastes, nothing particularly special.
Color of Night - 1994 suspense/mystery
I also went completely blind into RedLetterMedia's recent review of Color of Night. Also a miss. Which marks the first time I went into a movie blind via an RLM rec and was disappointed. It was really trying to do something unique and almost made a competent movie, but ended up a mess. I appreciate what it was trying for at least.
